One day late with payment in NOV.08 and rate went from 7.99 % to 32.99% with credit limit of $7500. Sent payment of $3900. on 5 May and went to make a $1000. purchase on 25 May and embarassingly rejected. Called ADVANTA and was told credit line was reduced. This was done without my prior knowledge and they said they were mailing me notification. This should have been done prior not as an afterthought. They stated that in the “fine print” that they could do anything at any time. I would urge all of the small business owners out there to avoid ADVANTA BANK CORP. at all cost so you won’t get scammed as I was by this underhanded company.
